What is Facebook and what are Facebook Applications?

Facebook is one of the most popular social networking website with more than 59 million users worldwide. You can read more about it on Wikipedia or through a Google search.

Facebook recently opened its social network for third party applications developers which meant that web applications could be built such that facebook users can use them right from their accounts and share them with their facebook friends.

While every web application with "social features" was trying to create yet another network of your friends, Facebook Application Platform is a very welcome step as it brings the application to your network (instead of you taking your friends to the application).

I'm not able to rate, tag and comment on SMSes. Why?

This is version 1.0 of our facebook application and all the features available on the website are not available in the application yet. Needless to say, we're working our a** off to get those features in ASAP.

Can I send SMSes to only Indian mobile phone numbers?

Well, Yes! As of now only those who have an Indian mobile number will be able to receive SMSes on mobile. Though anyone can install the application and receive SMSes from their friends through email and facebook newsfeed.

We are looking into how to enable international SMS feature on Vakow!

Why do I have to Sign up with Vakow! to be able to receive SMSes on phone?

To be able to forward you the SMSes that you friends send you we need to know your phone number and hence signing up with Vakow! is necessary.
